Medical care should never be ‘one size fits all’, and this is particularly true for dermatology.

Subi Derm was established to provide world-class dermatology in a friendly, local environment. We choose to listen before we talk, taking the time to understand what is going on with your skin and to consider all the relevant factors.
Your skin health is a partnership between you and us. We want you to feel educated and empowered, so you understand our recommendations and feel like you finally have control over your skin condition.

Every age. Every skin. Every body.

With a diverse background, Dr Stephanie Weston is well placed to treat every member of the community, including all ages and skin of colour.

As Head of Paediatric Dermatology at Perth Children’s Hospital, Stephanie understands the nuances of treating children, from newborns through to teenagers. Dr Weston encourages children to talk about their condition and what outcome they are seeking, making sure they feel involved and invested in the solution. As visible results occur, it’s not uncommon for Dr Weston to end up treating multiple members of the same family, right through to 90-year-olds!

Dr Weston also understands the role that skin pigmentation plays in skin health and is experienced in customising care for skin of colour.

Getting the best outcome for every condition.

It can be surprising to discover just how many conditions a dermatologist can treat. While we assist with common issues such as eczema and skin cancer, we are also well-experienced in the lesser known but just as important skin conditions that affect people right across our community. If you’re ready to see a positive change and improve your quality of life, book your appointment today.

Meet Dr Stephanie Weston

From the busy clinics of London to the red dirt of the Pilbara, Dr Weston brings a rich and diverse skillset to the friendly rooms at Subi Derm.

After graduating from the University of Western Australia in 1997, Dr Weston began her medical career in paediatrics at Princess Margaret Hospital. Her unique passion for the art of dermatology saw her make the leap into dermatology training in 2004. In the following years, Dr Weston practised specialist dermatology across Western Australia. Having been raised in the country, Dr Weston saw first-hand the need for specialist medical care in rural areas and regularly travelled north to provide care in Karratha, Port Hedland and the Kimberley.

In 2016, Dr Weston moved to the UK to undertake a 12-month clinical fellowship in paediatric dermatology with a special interest in genetic conditions affecting the skin. She stayed on in the UK for another year to work as a consultant at St John’s Institute of Dermatology at the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust in London.

Back in Perth, Stephanie continued to practice dermatology and was awarded the Head of Paediatric Dermatology position at Perth Children’s Hospital. In establishing Subi Derm, Dr Weston is able to bring her holistic, welcoming dermatology services directly to her local community.

When she’s not helping people regain their skin health and confidence, Dr Weston enjoys gardening, reading, travelling and trying to win a family board game.

“I look forward to welcoming in new and existing patients each day at Subi Derm. It is a joy to see the visible changes that people experience, many of whom may have lost hope or weren’t sure if anything could be done. It is an honour to help make a difference in peoples’ lives.”
